Yes. Showhouse is a calm Trakt client — it reads your Trakt account as the source of truth and gives you a dashboard built around deciding what to watch next, rather than a feed to scroll.
Do I need a Trakt account, and do I need to know what Trakt is?
Think of Trakt as the sign-in and sync account behind Showhouse — you don't need to know it well. For your real shows, saved items, and progress to appear, you connect a Trakt account; you can explore as a guest first.
Can I use it with Plex, Stremio, Kodi, or Jellyfin?
Yes. If those setups update your Trakt account automatically, Showhouse reflects that progress. It isn't tied to any single player or media app.
Can I track shows from Netflix, Disney+, or other services?
Yes. Search for the show, add it, and update progress in Showhouse. It follows the show and your progress, not the service itself.
Is Showhouse a streaming app?
No. Showhouse tracks progress and helps you decide what to continue. It doesn't stream, host, download, or link to video.
What's the best way to decide what to watch next?

Setup & support
How do I connect Showhouse to Trakt?
Open Showhouse and follow the prompt to connect your Trakt account. It uses Trakt's standard sign-in, so we never see your Trakt password.
How do I disconnect or sign out?
In Showhouse, open Settings and disconnect your Trakt account — that removes the stored tokens from your device. You can also revoke access from your Trakt account settings at any time.
Something isn't working — what should I do?
If a show or episode looks wrong, it's often because Trakt or TheTVDB is briefly unavailable; try again shortly. If it persists, email support and we'll look into it.
What do you do with my data?
As little as possible. We don't store your watch history, and any usage analytics are anonymous and aggregate. See our privacy page for the full detail.
