terms
These are the terms for using the claynotation studio's hub and its apps. By using them, you agree to what follows. They're written to be short and plain.
The service
claynotation is an independent app studio. The hub (claynotation.com) is a static studio site; the apps — Showhouse is the first — are tools you use with your own accounts. They connect to services you already use, such as your Trakt account, to be useful; they don't replace those services.
You're responsible for the accounts you connect and for keeping your devices secure. Use the apps only for their intended, lawful purpose.
Not affiliated with Trakt or TheTVDB
claynotation is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Trakt, TheTVDB, Apple, or Google. Showhouse reads data from your Trakt account and fetches show metadata from TheTVDB through their public interfaces; those names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what the apps connect to.
Your relationship with Trakt and TheTVDB is governed by their own terms. If either service changes or becomes unavailable, parts of an app may stop working — that's outside our control.
Provided as-is
The hub and the apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't promise the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You use them at your own discretion and risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, claynotation isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the hub or the apps — including lost data, lost watch history held by a third party, or any interruption of a connected service. Nothing here limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection law where you live.
Acceptable use
Please don't misuse the apps: no reverse-engineering beyond what the law permits, no attempts to break authentication or reach other people's data, no automated abuse of the hub's interfaces, and nothing unlawful. We may limit or end access that does any of these.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the apps evolve. Material changes will be reflected on this page and dated below. Continuing to use the hub or the apps after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the consumer-protection law that applies where you live.
